David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and as an Insolvency Practitioner in 1994. He moved into insolvency from general practice in 1996, joining a top ten firm of Chartered Accountants, becoming a partner in 2003. In 2017 he joined a specialist insolvency firm, before joining Valentine & Co in 2023.
During his career, David has dealt with both corporate and personal insolvency processes. He has also dealt with many varying types and sizes of businesses, covering many sectors including construction; retail; IT and software; engineering and the motor trade. He has acted for lenders, including the main banks and also alternative finance providers.
His depth of experience means he has knowledge of the factors that will affect businesses in distress and is able to assess those steps required to reach a solution that fits the specific situation.
